Location and history

Tenuta Il Bosco is located in Oltrepò, in the province of Pavia, and was born from the desire to produce high quality sparkling wines. The Pavian territory has long been recognized as the birthplace of Pinot Noir (Pinot Nero) in Italy.

Pinot Noir’s reputation as essential for sparkling wines as well as incredibly fi ne and elegant in red wines, does not come without its share of difficulties. This varietal is very unpredictable in both the vineyard and the cellar; however the fi nished product can exceed all expectations.

Tenuta il Bosco Estate is committed to the reintroduction of native and traditional varietal wines from the province of Pavia.
